The Animal Vaccine Compound is located at the north side of the Park. A 7,273 m2 or more standard plant building dedicated to the production of animal vaccines is planned on 2.48 hectares of land. The plant embraces the concept of customization that domestic and foreign animal vaccine manufacturers are consulted in the planning and design stage of the plant construction. The plant construction also adopts the highest internationally recognized standards in conformity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to build a modern plant exclusively for animal vaccine industry. Of the two currently available plant units in the Animal Vaccine Compound, a subsidiary (Reber Genetics) of the top brand cord blood bank in the country - HealthBanks Biotech Company Limited has leased one unit and several well-known animal health companies have indicated their interest in leasing the other unit

  • Phase 4 - Yaitai Operational Center for Aquaculture

The Yaitai Operational Center for Aquaculture occupies 5.5 hectares of land and is divided into two zones – R&D and Logistics Zone and Production &Distribution Operations Zone. The R&D and Logistics Zone will have customs personnel and inspection and quarantine personnel from the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine stationed there to provide convenient one-time customs clearance and onsite (breeding facility) inspection and quarantine services for ornamental fish and aquaculture products. The Zone also reserves sizable space for R&D and incubation for academic and research institutions, such as National Pingtung University of Science and Technology to move in. Such arrangement will enable those institutions to grasp first-hand the needs and status of the industry, while providing timely testing and consulting services. The combination of convenient customs clearance and inspection services and R&D will effectively lift the core competitiveness of our aquatic industry. In the Production & Distribution Operations Zone, the Park has allocated 1.5 hectares of land with complete public facilities for investors to build their own plants. To help alleviate the financial burden of investors, the Park will construct in addition 12 units of aquatic plant facilities in the Zone for lease by residents. Each unit will come with a 760 m2(1 ping equals 36 square feet) detached building and 826 m2 of land with space for office, storage, inspection, kitchen, bathroom, as well as fresh water and seawater sources and air compressor. To meet varying operational needs, some of the units will use flexible design and offer 264 m2 of compact plant featuring basic operational functions. The Production & Distribution Operations Zone aims to provide investors with a base for export-oriented operation and R&D, which links up the diversified aquatic products and channel services of residents with satellite fish breeding farm supply chain to produce the cluster effect that will give Taiwan’s ornamental fish and aquaculture products optimal competitive edge in the international markets.
